Changes that increase the sustainability of live music events are urgently needed, with environmental concerns in mind.

Trash, in many different forms, is part of our daily life. With this comes the need to try to save or at least help our environment, which is getting higher and higher. Every individual as well as sector of our society should think about what they can do to help. Concerts are a big part of our cultural and help people to escape their daily life for a little while.

How are venues and artists working on more sustainability? What really is waste at an event? What actually is sustainability when it comes to live shows and tours? And what conditions are needed for a successful more sustainable (music) event? Two international venues and two artists are used here as examples to explain this.

Stories affect how we live our lives, how we see other people, how we think about ourselves” (Michael Morgan)

Many people long for the representation of the LGBTQ+ community in the screen productions they watch, they want to see people like themselves. How do Netflix’s “Sex Education” and “Heartstopper” contribute to the LGBTQ+ representation? What’s the big difference between the two series and how can they contribute to making small steps towards the acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community in society? Hopefully slowly creating a reality in which the LGBTQ+ community no longer has to fight to be seen, but is an unconditional part of society.
